Robin Jenson named a Champion of Women
Congratulations to Robin Jenson, economics major, who has been named a Champion of Women by the Women's Enrollment Initiative!
"I started as a student at Westminster right after high school and I had no idea what I wanted to do. I was an English major for a little while, but I didn’t know what I was doing in college, so I dropped out. Then, a couple years ago, I went to Barnes and Noble and picked up a book on economics. I absolutely loved it. I kept going back to Barnes and Noble to buy more economic books; I thought it was fun and interesting. Prior to that I knew nothing about the economy- I knew so little that it was embarrassing. When people would talk about the economy, I would nod my head and politely say, “Oh, interesting.” I started reading books because I had no idea what was going with the economy and I hated being ignorant about it all the time. After reading the books, I just completely loved economics. I was working full-time at the time, and I was able to take some online econ classes at SLCC. The classes were really fun and I ended up transferring to the U for the Spring 2017 semester." Read the rest of the interview featuring Robin.
