Beacons of Excellence Award Recipients
The CSBS Student Success Center has been recognized as a 2020 recipient for the University of Utah Beacons of Excellence Award. This well-deserved recognition is bestowed due to the nominations received from several students who described the CSBS Student Success Center as providing “an absolutely transformative educational experience."
During the Fall of 2011, a committee of campus members developed a recognition program called Transforming U: Beacons of Excellence, as part of the mission to reimagine the undergraduate experience. The impact of the CSBS Student Success Center has been inspirational to many within our campus community and it is a privilege to recognize their work!
Collaborative Advising Model
In CSBS, we have a collaborative advising model meaning our academic advisors are trained to advise in multiple majors within our college. This provides our students with the opportunity to meet with a professional advisor in a timely manner and one who is also an expert and knowledgeable across serval academic disciplines.
