Relationships are helping people through the pandemic
It’s all about relationships, says Nicholas Wolfinger, a professor in the Department
of Family and Consumer Studies at the University of Utah and an adjunct professor
of sociology who wasn’t part of the survey but has noted reports of growing loneliness
in recent years. “I would contend that the increase in loneliness is definitely a
product of the fact that more Americans aren’t married, cohabiting or dating.”
