Project Spotlight - Connect to Collect

Connect to Collect (C2C) is a project focused on increasing Utahns’ awareness of their potential benefits through the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC), linking them to free, high quality tax preparation assistance through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. 

Dr. Lori Kowaleski-Jones (Family & Consumer Studies) and Dr. Norm Waitzman (Economics), co-directors of the C2C, recently sat down to discuss their ongoing work, including the various social and economic implications of the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC), and the ways in which their team is partnering with community organizations to help shape the future of financial security for Utah families.
