Adam Rose (BA ‘70), an alumnus whose transformative journey from a postwar displaced persons camp to a prolific career in academia led him to establish the Adam Rose Family Scholarship for Refugee Students in the Department of Economics, honoring the professors who inspired him and the Salt Lake community that welcomed his family in 1951.

Anthropologists Use Grant Funds to Employ Indigineous Consults in a Step to Decolonize Native Collections

Dr. Alexandra Greenwald, assistant professor of Anthropology and curator of enthnography at the Natural History Museum of Utah, led a six-month initiative funded by the NEH's A More Perfect Union grant, employing Indigenous consultants to share oral histories and perspectives on ethnographic items, with the primary goal of centering Indigenous knowledge in the museum's collections and enhancing public education about Indigenous cultures.
