This week’s panel digs into the complexities of U.S.-China relations and discuss where they can go from here. The panelists include Steve On, associate professor of political science at the National Sun Yat-sen University, and Yanqi Tong, professor of political science at the University of Utah. Natalie Gochnour, the state’s top economist, associate dean for the University of Utah’s David Eccles School of Business and director of the Kem C. Gardner Policy Institute, said Utah is positioned to see a significant, upward economic bounce in 2021 and it’s one likely to be driven by multiple factors.
The observed recent decrease in sexual activity includes that deemed good for strengthening intimate bonds in relationships and types of sex considered bad by most. Experts don’t worry about sexually inactive teens and universally agree that teen pregnancy can derail young lives and lead to challenges like higher rates of poverty and less educational attainment.
For University of Utah sociology Prof. Kim Korinek, another key figure in the study, the project will be a way to measure the effects of war on those who may not have had direct contact with the conflict -- an area, she said, that's gone largely unstudied.
