“What I hope to see most in Biden’s plan is a generous, gender-neutral paid parental
leave program that compensates adults at close to full pay for up to three months
annually,” said Daniel L. Carlson, associate professor in Family and Consumer Studies
at the University of Utah, who advocates giving families an additional month at the
birth or adoption of a child.
