Tom Henteleff received his J.D. law degree from the University of California Law School (Boalt Hall) in 1968. He received a B.S. degree (magna cum laude) and a Certificate in International Relations from the University of Utah in 1965. He was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Kappa Phi Honor Societies upon graduation from University of Utah.

Tom Henteleff was with the boutique DC law firm of Kleinfeld Kaplan and Becker (KK&B) from July 1969 until his retirement on 12/31/2012. He became a Partner in January 1974. He was Managing Partner of KK&B for approximately two decades. Immediately prior to joining KK&B, he was a law clerk for the Honorable David T. Lewis of the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. During his tenure at KK&B, he was recipient of several honors, including FDA Commissioner's Special Citation and Wiley Bronze Medal, FDLI Distinguished Service and Leadership Award, Best Lawyers in America FDA Law, Chambers USA FDA Law, Washingtonian Best Lawyers FDA Law, Washington DC Super Lawyers-FDA Law, AV Preeminent Attorney, Martindale & Hubbell and International Who's Who of Life Sciences Lawyers FDA Law

Tom has utilized his time during retirement to actively participate in various Think Tanks, write a novel that he intends to edit for publication, volunteer for public service organizations, travel throughout the world and enjoy time with his wife Claudia and their family, including nine grandchildren. Tom formerly was a member of the Board of Trustees of the Phillips Collection during which he served as Co-Chair of the Governance Committee and was on its Executive Committee, he also formerly served as President of the Board of Bethesda Cares and currently serves as Chair of the Board of Bethesda Metro Area Village.
