2018-2019 CSBS Undergraduate and Graduate Scholarships
Scholarship Window: 1 October 2017 to 1 February 2018
This year, we are using a new online process to apply for both college (CSBS) and Department Scholarships. There is one application form required and each applicant will be matched to the scholarship opportunities for which you are best suited. If you are applying for financial aid, you must complete the FAFSA application.
FAFSA is not required for CSBS Scholarship awards.
Public Administration - Public Policy - Psychology - Sociology
Please note that in addition to the application, two letters of recommendation are required. At least one letter must be from an academic source. Both letters must be on official letterhead and/or signed or they will not be considered. Please remember to select people who know you well enough to offer thoughtful and meaningful comments about you and your abilities.
Note: Students may be awarded other student scholarships through the University Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid. However, please also be aware that the Scholarship Office reviews all scholarship awards and compares them against any federal student loans students may have taken. In cases where students have scholarship awards and federal student loans, the Scholarship Office may reduce student loan amounts. This may mean that spent loan amounts may have to be paid back immediately. For more information on how scholarship awards can affect federal student loans, please consult directly with the University Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid.
Many of CSBS's scholarships are provided by donors. If you are awarded a donor-based scholarship you will be required to do the following:
- Write a letter of thanks to the scholarship donor (or family).
- Supply a color photograph and biographical information for the creation of a spotlight which the dean's office will send to the donor of your scholarship.
- Attend a scholarship program where you can meet your donor in person.
