Quantitative Analysis Certificate Application

This form is for students to apply for capstone credit upon completing an engaged learning experience integrating statistics, research methodology, programming skills, and communications skills. Completion of honor theses, internship courses, independent study credits with faculty, UROP research or projects, and class projects all have the potential for being considered capstone experiences. This application will be used to determine whether an experience is of sufficient depth to be considered a capstone experience.

Students are asked to complete the “Student Section” and submit this application, and supporting materials, to quantcertificate@utah.edu. Deadlines for materials will be listed on the certificate website.

Note that while some experiences (e.g., a class project) may not be of sufficient depth on their own, many experiences with additional development (e.g., presentation at the Undergraduate Research Symposium) may meet the capstone requirements.
