Jane Hahn is the President of My College Advocate, LLC, a comprehensive college counseling practice that works closely with students to help them discover the best educational path for their goals and objectives, while fostering an environment that builds their confidence, self-advocacy, productivity, and personal success.
Jane’s experience in college admission work is comprehensive and unique, as she has enjoyed the benefits of working on both sides of the process.
Prior to establishing My College Advocate, she served as an Associate Director of Admission at Ohio Wesleyan University, devoting much of her attention to reading and reviewing thousands of college applications as well as conducting thousands of college interviews with prospective students. Wanting to fully understand and gain perspective for the other side of the college admission process, she also served as an Associate Director of College Counseling at Groton School, working closely with students who garnered admission to some of the most selective schools in the country and abroad.
In her current practice, she works with a diverse roster of students from around the globe who are seeking admission into a wide range of 4 year institutions in the United States and abroad.
Jane received her undergraduate degree from The University of Utah and her master’s degree from The University of Akron. She is a professional member of the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC), the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA), and the Ohio Association for College Admission Counseling (OACAC).
