Christopher Mebius was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. With a strong interest in policing, Christopher graduated Cum Laude from the University of Utah with a B.S. in Sociology and a Criminology Certificate in August of 2016. Christopher continued his education and received a Masters of Criminal Justice from Weber State University in August of 2018. While in school, Christopher joined the Center for Policing Equity’s National Justice Database team in February 2016 as an intern. Moving to part-time in May 2016, and then full-time in September 2018, Christopher now oversees data collection for NJD participating agencies across the United States. Through this initiative, CPE analyzes police contact data and climate survey results to help police agencies reduce disparate policing outcomes.
